Finding Tasks for Volunteers

Herman Bank contacted local hospitals and doctors with whom he was familiar and arranged meetings to which all the South Bay Chapter members were invited to attend. One or two different volunteers joined me in attending the various hospital meetings.
All the potential volunteers were invited via email messages to attend. Some people who signed up never responded or showed any interest in any meeting.
When we found that VPMA was planning to expand and had no active Web site, the TRA Webmaster volunteered to develop a VPMA Web site. He arranged for the site, recommended a name and used the available VPMA documentation to establish the first set of pages. See the site at: www.vp-ma.org.
One volunteer attended a doctor's presentation demonstrating the use of a hermetically sealed chamber for providing the required oxygen environment to premature infants. The blood oxygen level required by the infant is specified by the doctor and needs to be
